Seven Applicants Apply for Bidding 4G Telecommunications Services Licenses中文

After the call for applications of 4G Telecommunications Services Licenses from May 5 to July 1, 2013, there were seven applicants, including Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd., Taiwan Mobile Co., Ltd., Far Eastone Telecommunications(FET) Co., Ltd., Asia Pacific Telecom Co., Ltd., Ambit Microsystems Corp and two other companies backed by Ting Hsin International Group and Shinkong Group.
 The NCC is scheduled to release a total of 270MHz of frequency spectrum in the 700MHz, 900MHz and 1800MHz bands for 4G service, according to the announcement of the Executive Yuan dated on September 28, 2012, Regulations for Administration of Mobile Broadband Business and the resolution of the 536th NCC’s Commission Meeting. 
 Moreover, the licensing procedure includes two stages. First, the NCC will finish the qualification reviewing by the end of August. Then, the bidding process will start at the beginning of September after the declaration of qualified bidders. The final result is expected to be concluded by the end of 2013.
