In order to facilitate Wi-Fi 6E low-power wireless information transmission equipment (UNII), covering the 5.945GHz to 6.425GHz frequency band, which is widely used in developed countries, NCC has proposed a draft amendment to allow the usage of microwave radio stations as a backup circuit under specified conditions. The main purpose of this is to enhance disaster response and emergency relief operations in remote areas. The proposed draft has been made available to the public from the period of Oct. 19 to Dec. 18, 2023.
