Cable Broadband Institute in Taiwan(CBIT) leads 4 Cable TV Multiple-System Operators(MSO) on a visit to NCC to Discuss Cable TV Regualtion中文
  The Chairperson of the Cable Broadband Institute in Taiwan (CBIT), Peng, Shu-Fen, headed a group of seven individuals representing 4 Cable TV Multiple-System Operators—China Network Systems (CNS), KBRO Inc, Taiwan Broadband Communications (TBC), and Taiwan Fixed Network(TFN)—to NCC on Feb.21, 2019 to exchange views on certain issues regarding the regulation of cable TV. The group met with Commissioner Chen, Yaw-Shyang, Commissioner Guo, Wen-Chung and Commissioner Teng, Wei-Chung and the discussions centered on cable and IPTV regulations, cross-media platform, and digital convergence rules.
  NCC clarified that its objective is that both cable TV providers and CHT MOD service can operate across platforms in a spirit of fair competition, providing consumers with greater choice, thereby jointly facilitating a conducive environment for the digital transformation.
  NCC also sincerely expressed its willingness to consider the opinions of CBIT and the cable TV MSO, and shall encourage operators to promote High-quality and 4K development policies to facilitate a win-win situation for consumers, channel suppliers and cable TV systems.
