Mr. Christophe Forax, Counsellor of ICT and Audiovisual for Asia, European Commission, paid a visit to Chairperson Su and Commissioner Chang, Shi-Chung in the afternoon of December 7. He came to Taipei to attend the 2010 EU-Taiwan Telecom Forum held by European Chamber of Commerce Taipei and stopped by NCC before leaving for Singapore. Both parties exchanged views regarding latest developments in spectrum planning, the digital dividend, broadband development, and the supervision of audio/video service contents. Mr. Forax has, over the past few years, established a very close relationship with NCC and has been very active in facilitating communication between NCC and its counterparts in the EU. He has a clear understanding of what Taiwan has in mind in the planning of communications and broadcasting policies and his visit should prove to promote greater bilateral cooperation in the future.
