In order to strengthen the cooperation between Taiwan and Australia anti-spam enforcement agencies, ACMA Manager Mr. Bruce Matthews and Manager Ms. Julia Cornwell McKean visited the National Communications Commission to co-chair the 1st Anti-Spam MOU Bilateral Meeting in Taipei with Commissioner Dr. Hsiao-Ling Weng.

After the meeting, the ACMA delegation visited the Chunghwa Telecom Laboratories to exchange views on the information security solutions and anti-spam practices of Taiwan. On the second day of the delegation’s visit, Ms. Julia Cornwell McKean gave a speech, entitled "International information sharing to enhance e-security and combat spam", and shared related practical experiences.

Both sides regarded this meeting as significantly beneficial as it enhanced working relationships between each other. In addition, both parties agreed that deeper cooperation between the NCC and ACMA should be sought.
