Under the guidance of the NCC and organized by the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, the Dynamic Observations of International Communications Sharing Forum took place on December 3rd, 2020. Experts from industry, academia and research institutions were invited to discuss crucial topics regarding international communications, as well as communications trends in Taiwan.

Dr. Po-Li Liu, Director of Research Division IV of Taiwan Institutes of Economic Research (TIER) and NCC Commissioners Mr. Wei-Chung Teng and Mr. Chi-Hung Hsiao all delivered opening remarks at the forum, after which Mr. Sih-Hao Chen, Supervisor of Research Division IV of TIER gave an overview of the Dynamic Observation of International Communications and introduced the website setup for its purpose (https://intlfocus.ncc.gov.tw/), as well as the website of the Communications Market Survey (https://commsurvey.ncc.gov.tw/) for public reference.

The Sharing Forum consisted of the following five topics: Market Trends in Demands for Communications, 5G Technology and Digital Convergence in the UK and Germany,
Transformation and Revolution of the OTT Industry, Beyond 5G to 6G, and Competitive Regulatory Policy of 5G Era- ITU Digital Regulation.

Dr. Po-Li Liu, Director of Research Division IV of TIER, hosted the second part of the forum accompanied by Dr. Kuo-Liang, Wang, Professor of National Chengchi University, Dr. Sheng-Hsiung, Huang, Chairman of Taiwan Network Information Center and Ms. Li-Chiu, Liu, Vice Secretary General of TTIDA all of whom discussed the aforementioned topics. The event was considered successful and an insightful means of sharing valuable information on communications trends, demonstrating NCC’s commitment to facilitating a sound environment for communications in Taiwan innovative developments with the ultimate goal of stimulating the digital economy.
