On November 11, 2023, The National Communications Commission (NCC) participated in the "Smart Consumer Carnival" fair organized by Consumer Protection Department of the Executive Yuan at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall. During the event, NCC shared important knowledge related to the use of telecommunication services, cable television, internet safety for children and adolescents, and the television content rating system. The event adopted an educational yet entertaining approach, using engaging and fun games and activities to promote consumer education and awareness of measures that can be taken to counter fraud; all these activities were held with the aim of gaining greater understanding of common consumer disputes and uncovering fraudulent activities.

At its interactive booth of the event, NCC used anti-fraud and phishing games to demonstrate common techniques undertaken by scammers in a simple and understandable way. The promotional booth also focused on sharing new information pertaining to electromagnetic waves. The aim of holding such booths is to promote consumer protection services overseen by the NCC. By means of face-to-face interactions, NCC aims to reduce a range of consumer disputes and enhance the protection of consumer rights.
