Events Highlights

Deputy Commissioner of Mongolia Communications Regulatory Commission heads a Delegation for an Official Visit to Taiwan and NCC中文
Mr. Battogtokh Osorkhuu, Deputy Commissioner of Mongolia Communications Regulatory Commission (CRC) led a delegation of six to NCC for an official visit on April 27 2012. The two parties discussed prevalent issues and upcoming challenges, such as competition policy in communications, broadcasting content management, and frequency assignment. Since technology advances rapidly, new types of services are emerging now that the convergence of communications and broadcasting is being realized. New services bring new challenges to regulatory authorities. Adjusting the relevant regulations appropriately, which can facilitate development and fair competition, has a significant influence on a country’s competitiveness; this has been a concern for communications and broadcasting authorities around the world.
Since the NCC and Mongolian CRC signed the “Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the fields of communications regulation between National Communications Commission of Taiwan and Communications Regulatory Commission of Mongolia” on Mar 29 2010, both sides have agreed to host such exchanges every other year. Thus, this year a Mongolian delegation visited Taiwan. Arrangements were made for our Mongolian friends to visit the National Central Library, the most comprehensive library of Taiwan. They also visited the Bureau Veritas Taiwan to see how a type certification lab for telecommunications equipment works in Taiwan and Chunghwa Telecom to learn how the disaster rescue communications system and Internet management operate. Both the CRC and the NCC are actively working to expand the scope of cooperation for mutual benefits in the form of visits of each other’s country based on the MoU.
